What better way to bring some joy and laughter into your life and save a homeless pet’s life at the same time.
When you adopt through Heaven Sent Animal Rescue NJ, you're not only changing the life of a homeless dog, you would also be helping save another dog putting an end to over populated shelters that use euthanasia to free space.
Adopting from us opens space in the homes of our volunteer fosters. This helps rescue another dog, further putting an end to overpopulation.
OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
We wanted to make the adoption process easy and simple, while being certain that each pet goes to the best home.
Below are the steps to our adoption process.
Please read them attentively including the adoption policies to have a clearer understanding prior to submitting an application for a pet.
STEP 1: PICK PET AND APPLY ONLINE
First, find and choose the pet you think would best fit in your home.
However, it's advised to choose three other options as well, just in case your first choice already has an adopter lined up to meet with the pet prior to you applying.
Once screened and approved, we will contact you and inform you about proceeding to STEP 2 or not.
STEP 2: ESTABLISH A FOREVER HOME
When your application is approved we will set up a date/time with you to pick up your new family member. All members of your household--along with current dogs--need to meet your potential pet before the adoption can be completed.
Considering all goes well, and everybody likes the dog and vice versa, the last step is signing the adoption contract, paying the adoption fee and welcoming your newly adopted pet to their forever home.
Your new pet needs to be brought to the veterinarian with a stool sample within a week of the adoption.
IMPORTANT ADOPTION POLICIES
Puppies nine months of age are able to be adopted into homes with young children.
Be sure to select more than one choice for your prospective pet during the application process.
Please print the adoption contract and bring it with you on your scheduled adoption day.

Putting a price on rescuing a pet you love is impossible. However, there is a reason for a fee when pet adopting. Adoption Fees help to ensure your special pet is spayed/neutered but most importantly healthy and ready for you to welcome them to their forever home.
